SMS: A2P 10DLC Registration

SMS: A2P 10DLC Registration

LoyaltyLoop provides SMS (text messages) as a communication channel to send feedback and related requests to customers.  In order to use SMS, there are specific registration requirements now imposed by all carriers.  Business SMS messages are considered A2P 10DLC, or Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging sent via standard 10-dight long code (10DLC) phone numbers in the US.
It is important to note that the carriers will begin degrading services to unregistered phone numbers starting July 5, 2023, and will stop sending messages from unregistered numbers as of August 31, 2023.  Here is the information we need to complete your registration.
The new registration process aims to help protect consumers from spam, while also allowing business to better reach their customers via SMS.  Similar to how LoyaltyLoop advises you to add specific domain records (SPF and DKIM) to your email sending domain to ensure email deliverability, the new SMS registration process also aims to improve deliverability of text messages.

LoyaltyLoop will complete the registration for our customers, however we need specific details about your business to complete the process.
Please provide the following in reply to this email asap to avoid SMS service interruption:
  1. Business Federal Tax ID (aka Employer ID Number or EIN):
  2. Business Legal Name (exactly as registered):
  3. Business Type: Partnership, Corporation, Co-Operative, Limited Liability Corporation, Non-Profit Corporation
  4. Business Industry:
  5. Business website URL:
  6. Business Regions of Operations:
  7. Business Authorized Representatives (for this registration): First Name, Last Name, Email, Business Title, Phone Number, Job Position
  8. Business Address: Street, City, State, Zip Code, Country
  9. Company Type: private, public, etc.
  10. How do end-users consent to receive messages? (e.g. "When any customer completes a purchase with us, they are provided our standard terms of service, which includes language stating <Company> may communicate with our customers via various means, including email, SMS, phone, and writing.")
Please let us know if you have any questions.
